Special seminar of RCTHS with Heleen J. Pott & Dirk L. Couprie

It is our pleasure to inform you that a special guests, Heleen J. Pott & Dirk L. Couprie, have agreed to give lectures at one of our Monday's regular seminars.

Main research interests of Heleen Pott are in the history and philosophy of emotion theories; post-Kantian naturalism; trauma and cultural memory. She will talk about philosophy and theory of emotions in a lecture called "Blood, Sweat, and Tears: Are Emotions Perceptions of the Body?"

Dirk Couprie's main professional interest lay in Presocratic philosophy and cosmology, and especially those of Anaximander, who lived at Miletus, 610-547 B.C. His lecture will focus on "Anaximander’s Cosmology".

The seminar will be held on 7th October 2013 at the Department of Philosophy of the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen. More details can be found in attachment.

Julius Tomin: Lidská duchovní přirozenost a „X“ neurofysiologů

Srdečně Vás zveme na poslední pondělní seminář Výzkumného centra pro teorii a dějiny vědy v akademickém roce 2012/2013. Seminář proběhne 3. 6. od 15:00, tradičně v místnosti RJ-209.

It is our pleasure to inform you that a special guest, Paolo Bussotti, has agreed to give a lecture at one of our Monday's regular seminars. His lecture will focus on the following topic: "The Concept of Force in Johannes Kepler".

Alena Hadravová, Petr Hadrava: Seminář k dějinám astronomie

Srdečně Vás zveme na další z pondělních seminářů Výzkumného centra pro teorii a dějiny vědy.

Tentokrát se ve dvou přednáškách podíváme na témata související s dějinami astronomie. Dopolední částí semináře nás od 11 hod. provede dr. Alena Hadravová, odpolední část povede od 14 hod. doc. Petr Hadrava.
